Fitness Run

Comments: I gave myself two days off following the eight-miler on Saturday. Partly this was because my legs were pretty sore both Sunday and Monday. Given the little aches that have been adding up over the last week I felt caution was advisable. But it was also because I felt like being a lazy slob for a couple of days.

That came back to haunt me this morning. It was hot, humid and unpleasant the whole way. My legs felt rubbery getting started and at the point I finally warmed up, I was so uncomfortable I couldn't do more than slog my way through the thing. It was such a mess I was actually surprised I finished it in under a 10 min/mi pace.
