Distance: 4.05 miles
Time: 41:37
Pace: 10:17 min/mi
Comments: After the fast run on Thursday my legs felt fine but there was some soreness yesterday. I was concerned that it might extend over to today but, except for the very start of the run, there was no issue.
I really focused on cadence and keeping my effort uniform the whole way. More than half the run was in Zone 4 heart rate which suggests I wasn't pushing it too hard to do so.
One thing I'm really trying is to enjoy these really nice days. The swealter of summer is just around the corner.

Fitness Run
Distance: 4.02 mi
Time: 37:30
Pace: 9:20 min/mi
Comments: The weather this morning was about the same temperature but significantly less humid. I ran yesterday's workout at the easy pace and have a day off tomorrow so I figured I might try and push it a little today.
I treated the first mile (downhill) and the last mile (uphill) as cool up/down runs. I tweaked the middle two in order to give me a pretty flat stretch and tried to push it a bit more than usual. I don't think this was 100% but it was a nice way to kind of measure where I am at.
The first 'fast' mile came in at 8:20 min/mi and the second at 7:43 min/mi. Not bad. More impressively, my heart rate stayed under 165 bpm and was in Zone 5 for less than 20% of the effort.

Fitness Run
Distance: 4.02 miles
Time: 45:03
Pace: 11:13 min/mi
Comments: With the prospect of severe storms today, getting out and getting it done was a priority. There were sprinkles throughout this one but never got into what I would call "rain." So there's that.
I've been doing a lot of these runs a bit overfast so I wanted to get closer to that easy pace of 11:33 min/mi. Still a bit over the mark but a lot closer than I have been anyway.
About a third of this run was in the Zone 5 range, but the rest was in Zone 4 and 3. So the exertion level was pretty close to what I would hope for.

Fitness Run
Distance: 4.02 miles
Time: 42:58
Pace: 10:41 min/mi
Comments: Another week, another series of daily runs. While I wasn't overly excited to get started today, I wasn't dreading it either. I knew I had to go early to have a bit of the course to myself though. Still, there were a few runners and dog walkers out.
I guess I'm still holding off from starting the training plan. I just did my usual run focusing on pace and keeping from going too fast. The hills were as fun as usual but not excessively so.
About two thirds of this one was in Zone 4, so I seem to have been on target in terms of effort.

Long Run
Distance: 6.08 miles
Time: 1:04:39
Pace: 10:38 min/mi
Comments: Another longer Sunday run on nearly empty streets. Decided to take a different track using streets I typically avoid due to high traffic. But I was not going to go far afield and put in too many miles like last week.
The weather was significantly warmer and more humid today but not like it is going to get when summer arrives. I was sweating pretty good by the end though.
About half this run was in Zone 4 and a third in Zone 5. So I probably was pushing a bit harder than necessary. Still, I wasn't burnt at the end like last week.
