Distance: 4.02 miles
Time: 41:41
Pace: 10:22 min/mi
Comments: Got stupid busy this morning and the run got pushed back significantly. With the promise of rain, I thought I might have to skip it entirely. But there was a break in the rain after lunch so I took advantage of the opportunity.
I really didn't have any major goal for this run but, after finishing and checking the stats, I had a pretty strong cadence most of the way. And my heart rate wasn't unusually high. Perhaps I'm finally getting that conditioning thing going. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.

Fitness Run
Distance: 4.02 miles
Time: 43:52
Pace: 10:55 min/mi
Comments: Legs felt a little worn down today. Not sore, exactly. Just tired. Haven't really been pushing it on these workouts so I'm not sure if that's diet/hydration or what.
Except for the second mile I ran this one pretty consistently. The last two miles were pretty much identical even with the hills. Over half the run was in Zone 3 heart rate and none in Zone 5. So over-exertion was successfully avoided.
Gonna try and get re-started on the marathon training plan this weekend. Not to see the whole thing through, just the first month and see if I can hold a solid fitness level until it's time to move forward with it.

Fitness Run
Distance: 4.03 miles
Time: 41:49
Pace: 10:23
Comments: Got out a bit earlier today. Woke up later than I wanted but was out the door faster than I have been managing it. In the past, I would be about it on the streets but now, there are a lot of folks. Most early runners look like they have been doing it awhile though.
Warm and humid again. Pretty much what I expected. I wanted to keep it very slow and very controlled. Instead I found myself pushing it a little bit at about the halfway point. The first mile - the downhill one - ended up being the fastest. Overall not a bad effort.

Fitness Run
Distance: 4.02 miles
Time: 40:42
Pace: 10:08 min/mi
Comments: After an unexpected cold snap, temperatures climbed pretty sharply today. The humidity was in force as well. I probably could have done myself a favor by going out super early but I needed to go get groceries.
So it was pretty uncomfortable by the time I got out the door. Not as uncomfortable as it is gonna get but a little taste of it. Hopefully this has helped get me started on acclimating.
Overall it went well. a bout a third of the run was in Zone 5. About what I expected.

Long Run
Distance: 6.28 miles
Time: 1:09:31
Pace: 11:04 min/mi
Comments: I was not motivated for this one in the least. The cold snap allied with the dreary weather really didn't help my already sagging spirits. I went out and did it anyway, but it really didn't ever get much better.
I varied the course a little, like I did last week and that seemed to at least keep me distracted a bit. My legs felt fine but I never really pushed myself; just plodded along to get it done.
At the end, it turned out I spent a third of the run in Zone 5 and a third of it in Zone 4. That was a bit more exertion than I expected. Still, I finished it.
