Distance: 8 miles
Time: 1:19:47
Pace: 9:58 min/mi
Comments: I actually planned on doing this run tomorrow morning. But with a few hours left in the afternoon I couldn't think of any reason not to just get it done. The temperatures were cool, my legs were as rested as they would be and I wouldn't have to battle freezing temperatures.
This is the first time I did the double circuit of the golf course loop despite that being the best intention quite a few times. Doubling up on the hills sucked but, overall, it went pretty well. My pace turned out fine but my heart rate was higher than I'm really happy with. Hopefully that just ongoing recovery from the races.

Training Run
Distance: 4 miles
Time: 38:16
Pace: 9:32 min/mi
Comments: Work and cold made a morning run unfeasible but I had a chance to get the mile in shortly after noon. The result was a missed lunch but I'm feeling good about my consistency and I don't want to break this routine.
It felt chilly getting going but warmed up nicely in the sun. I tried to run it a little slower than I have been and was successful in that. But my heart rate was pegged pretty much the whole way, which isn't ideal. Still, I felt pretty good and got it done.

Training Run
Distance: 4 miles
Time: 37:43
Pace: 9:24 min/mi
Comments: Another cold front blasted through and there was no way in hell a run was going to happen this morning. When temperatures are in the 20s, it's time to push the run back to the afternoon. And so it was.
Things were still chilly after work but I got the long sleeves on and got out there. As I expected, I pushed it a little quick on the pace. The cold had a bit to do with it but so did the desire to get done before sunset. Overall, a very nice mid-week effort.

Training Run
Distance: 4 miles
Time: 36:46
Pace: 9:11 min/mi
Comments: As much as I would have preferred to have gotten this one in first thing, work and chilly weather convinced me to push it to mid-afternoon. That worked out as it was rather pleasant, weather-wise for once and I was able to push the pace a little without getting crazy.
The first mile worked as a nice warm up and I let my effort drift up about half a minute per mile on the next two. The hills on the final mile slowed me down as expected so I really focused on cadence and keeping a consistent effort. Overall, a very nice run.

Training Run
Distance: 4 miles
Time: 37:25
Pace: 9:20 min/mi
Comments: Got out at lunch which was earlier than I expected given the forecast. Temperatures dropped into the 20s this morning but recovered reasonably nicely by mid-morning. Not gonna lie, it was still brisk out there.
I cranked this one out a little faster than I intended. I felt pretty good though so I let the pace creep up as I went along. Heart rate stayed out of Zone 5 completely so that seems to have been the right choice.
The intent was to get eight miles but I cut it to four after considering next week's schedule. I want to get three runs in during the week which means a back-to-back one today and tomorrow.
